Hired! The Guide for the Recent Grad eBook Ryan Kahn Reviews

In this international LinkedIn age, we have to do whatever we can to stand out to get hired. In this book, Ryan provides straight forward tips that will help everyone from college students seeking internships, a recent graduate pursuing that first job in the "real world," and that person mid career looking to reignite their career.
Wow, actually a worth while book. In a sea of seemingly worthless interview/job seeking literature, this book actually made sense to me. It actually focuses on practical, real life scenarious rather than some of the obtuse articles/books I've read elsewhere. Seriously, is it that hard to just offer real advice in the age old job hunt? Well, this guy has definitely nailed it in my opinion. Definitely recommended to anyone searching for their first job... to a high level position because it covers the fundamnetals that we all some how fumble at times. It's good to take a "refresher course" on these things for ANYBODY!
With nearly 9% unemployment there is a tremendous amount of competition in the marketplace for open positions. Sometimes the smallest factors can get a candidate hired.. or passed up for a great job. Having worked as an executive recruiter for 6yrs I can't stress enough the importance of interview fundamentals, be it the proper format and content of a resume, attire for an interview, company due diligence, demeanor, posture or even hygiene. Ryan through his show and now this book does a fantastic job of identifying key points all interviewees should be aware of. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking to start their career but also to those looking for a comprehensive review and recap of information they are aware of.

I recommend this book.
Hired! The Guide for the Recent Grad, written by Ryan Kahn and Allison Goedecke is well organized and contains excellent sample materials. I give it *****! TA from T.Oaks
It was just okay, seems a bit dated for relevance in 2014 at times.
When I want to get some insights on employment, I expect something really brilliant or special from a book.
When I want to get some general tips, I expect I can get all the information for free from the Internet.

And this book, only gives the $0 general tips which you can google easily,

The two-star rating is only for the samples of CV and resume

If you consider buying it after reading the sample pages like I did, please don't. Save the money.
This book is essentially worthless. I would not trust the other reviews, perhaps they were written by friends of his? The advice was the same old generic baloney that you might hear from anyone. Ex. - Have a resume, don't misspell things on it, do an internship while you're in school. I thought this would be tips for recent grads. If I've already graduated, don't tell me I should do an internship. What, am I supposed to find a time machine somewhere and accomplish that? My other complaints this does not seem to be based on any research; rather, it looks like this guy went online and just rehashed a bunch of blog posts from Forbes.com or Lifehacker.com. Utterly useless. I'd demand my money back if I could.
